Have you already got your plane ticket and booked your hotel for your next holidays in Australia? It is also important to have a valid visa to be able to enter the Australian territory. When you do not know much about it, you can quickly find yourself lost between all the types of visas available. Today, we are going to talk about e-Visitor visa, a travel document that allows to visit the Australia for 3 months.

A Free e-Visitor Travel Legally in Australia

If you plan a tourist trip to Australia, it is necessary to apply for a visa to enter the territory. There are different types of visa which are more or less easy to understand. But today we are going to focus on the e-Visitor. This visa is granted free of charge via an online form and it allows you to spend your vacation in Australia for 3 months maximum. We insist on the word “vacation” because the e-Visitor visa is not intended for the Working Holiday program.

Apply for e-Visitor to Visit Australia

First of all, you have to go to the eVisitor visa page on the Australian government website. Click on the “Apply now” button situated at the bottom right in the blue area at the top of the page. You will be invited to create an account for the management of your file. Once you complete this step, you can apply for a visa using the Evisitor Application form Australia. This latter requires several pieces of information such as your first and last names, you address, you passport number and you purpose of your visit which must be tourism. The form is all in English so you can fill it easily.

Once you validate your e-Visitor request online, watch your mailbox! You will first receive a confirmation email for your visa application, with the subject “IMMI Acknowledgment of Application Received”. Shortly after, the validation email for your e-Visitor visa arrives with the subject “MMI Grant Notification”. Applicants often receive the validation email almost immediately. But sometimes, the delay can be longer without any particular criteria.

Whatever happens, you will normally receive it before your departure time to the Australian soil! This email is sent with an attachment which is a multi-page PDF in English containing all of your travel information. Find the sentence in bold on the first page: “Notification of grant of an e-Visitor (class TV) eVisitor (subclass 651) visa” which confirms your visa again.
